Abstract


In view of the latest international events, Sustaining the New Economy. Work, Family, and Community in the Information Age by Martin Carnoy is more timely than ever. Based on an analysis of the relationship between the labor market and the changes that have occurred in our society, Carnoy predicts that governments unable to organize themselves to achieve ?integrative knowledge? and sustainable economic development will lose authority and that not all developed countries will be able to adjust to new circumstances.
