Management and administration of e-learning in universities. Conclusions

Josep M. Duart, Francisco Lupiáñez

Abstract

The vision and mission of an institution, made concrete in strategic planning, should define the management and administration of e-learning. This is one of the most notable conclusions of the present monograph. The management of e-learning is an institutional action that goes beyond the simple administrative task of managing the technical processes. In universities, teachers and administrators form multidisciplinary teams that undoubtedly contribute to generating the organizational flexibility needed to develop any innovation that attempts to be long-lasting, such as the case of e-learning. In the conclusions of this monograph, the various elements of the management of the teaching and learning process in universities are approached.
