Continuous assessment in the new teaching scenario

Ana M. Delgado, Rafael Oliver Cuello

Abstract

The new teaching framework created by the convergence toward the European Space for Higher Education entails a reformulation of teaching methodologies, which must be based on learning and not simply on teaching. In this model, evaluation acquires a new dimension, by placing the student at the center of the learning process and by applying a teaching approach based on competencies. This in turn involves a reformulation of the nature and design of all the structural elements composing this model.
