Virtualisation in terms of modernising higher education: educational considerations
Abstract
Technological development throughout the history of humanity has always been the leading factor in modernisation, not just in the productive sectors, but in society and, obviously, in education as well. As regards communication and mediation, universities have the necessary technical and technological means available. However, education and technology have not historically gone hand-in-hand. Indeed, the greatest technological delays are to be seen in education systems and institutions. A number of writers consider schools to be the institution to have made the least progress in this direction.
Keywords
virtual education; quality of education; institutional reengineering
