Management, administration and organization of e-learning projects

Jorge Ruiz

Abstract

Among the various difficulties that educational institutions face in introducing the use of information and communication technologies to improve the quality of learning through access to the resources and services that internet technology allows, are not only the surrounding myths and resistance to change but also the necessary strategies and plans of action of the main actors in the educational process. Although the willingness and means to understand and accept the new educational paradigm, preferably centered on the use of technology to favor learning, can be intuited and verified, institutional authorities require entities and projects that make the change of paradigm possible. Higher education institutions centered on purely presential activity require substantial changes to be made to their organization.
